All of us are familiar with doormats because they are common in almost every home that we go to. This is because they serve two purposes; one is to accentuate the look of a house and the other is to trap and capture dirt that is entering the house via the shoes or sandals. Doormats come in different styles and colors and there are some people who even prefer to personalize theirs and have them give a custom message and artwork. Doormats are important to many people because people do not want to spend a lot of time cleaning the house. The maxim “prevention is better than cure” holds true in this case. It is better to prevent dirt and dust from gaining its way into the house than battling with it once it has entered. People spend millions of dollars, if not billions, a year on cleaning their home environments.
